Network with your peers while gaining valuable industry information. Special guest speaker is Deputy Chief Charles Fitzgerald from the Detroit Police Department who will speak on the State of the City and new initiatives with time for some Q & A at the end.

Charles Fitzgerald is the Deputy Chief over the western precincts (patrol).  He's responsible for six (6) Precincts, six (6) Commanders, and six (6) Captains and over 800 members of the department.

He is a graduate of Capella University (Minneapolis, Minnesota) and plans to attend graduate school this fall at Wayne State University.  He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (2010) and the Eastern Michigan University School of Police Staff and Command (2008).  Deputy Chief Fitzgerald has over 24 years of law enforcement experience and still get excited to go to work every day. 

He is married to another prior law enforcement professional that was promoted to the rank of Captain before she left the department and went into the private sector.  They have two beautiful kids (21 and 18), one of which has expressed an interest in a law enforcement career.
